I sadly cannot claim these as my own. but yes, they did use some brown eggs. These were done at Conner Prairie. I thought the colors were neat too. Ours look more like an experiement in inner egg dying giggle:

i thought the colors looks unusual but cool. maybe the brown shells add something to the mix.
